Together, you've gathered to discuss the most pressing global issues of our time, from climate change to human rights to global security. This is NMUN•NY, the world's largest, oldest, and most prestigious intercollegiate Model UN conference. A place where you can step into the shoes of a diplomat and use the art of negotiation to learn how to make a difference in the world. At the conference:

Volunteer Leadership (in alphabetical order)

Paola was born and raised in Guatemala and has a background in International Affairs and Political Science, and has always had a keen interest in Sustainable Development. As a Senior Instructional Designer, she works with a team that specializes in creating educational content and partners with organizations across the U.S. and Europe. Beyond her professional work, Paola is an avid reader who also enjoys traveling, dancing salsa, and spending time with her dog, Lucas.

Alliyah is a St. Petersburg, Florida native and a proud graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminology and a master’s in Criminal Justice Administration. Her academic background fuels her commitment to understanding and addressing systemic challenges in communities across the country. She currently works as a digital associate, fundraising for bold progressive candidates and movements dedicated to making a real impact in people’s everyday lives. Through this work, she helps connect communities with the resources and support needed to drive meaningful, lasting change.

Johanna lives in Hamburg, Germany, where she works for Plan International, an international NGO focused on advancing children’s rights. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Erfurt in Germany and a Master’s degree in Food Politics and Sustainable Development from the European School of Political and Social Sciences in Lille, France. In her free time, Johanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading, and trying out different sports classes.
