Give to the NCCA Scholarship Initiative -
We are Funded through Your Generosity
NMUN prepares college students to be better global citizens. Participants propose solutions to global concerns while gaining skills in debate, compromise and conflict resolution. Unfortunately, financial constraints often are a barrier to participation.
To expand the opportunity provided by NMUN participation to under-represented populations, we solicit funding from foundations as well as individuals.
We invite you to consider making a personal contribution. For U.S. residents, your donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution. The NCCA/NMUN is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and an official non-governmental organization of the United Nations. Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of U.S. law. |

NCCA Scholarships Support
Model UN Programs
Assistance is given either as one-time grants or for multiple years to help colleges and universities develop a new Model UN program.
Eight one-time grants are offered annually in increments of $1,000 and $500. Half are awarded to U.S. schools and the other half to schools from other countries. The criteria include contribution to the ethnic and racial diversity of the conference, and financial need. One award is given in honor of a former NCCA Board President and NMUN Secretary-General, Brian John Hayden.
New three year grants are given in increments of $5,000 in year one, $2,500 in year two, and fee waivers in year three. These multi-year grants are given to encourage development of Model UN programs in an international location and at historically diverse US colleges and universities.
Starting in 2010, the NCCA plans to broaden its diversity initiatives in order to encourage all registering schools to consider ways that their student delegations can reflect the diversity of their own campuses. |
