"The NMUN staff experience is more than an opportunity for meaningful volunteerism. the skills acquired at the conference, as both a delegate and staff member, have been invaluable to me as I have worked at non-governmental organizations, finished my graduate degree, and completed my transition to teaching. Perhaps most importantly, serving on NMUN staff means I reunite with friends each spring, after a year of planning and preparation, to discuss our lives, recent educational or occupational changes, and the most pressing issues facing the international community. It is an enlightening and humbling experience to be surrounded by these incredible people, to network with accomplished speakers and presenters, and to gain deeper appreciation for the monumental challenge of multi-lateral diplomacy at the United Nations."
