Scholarship Information

The NCCA offers several scholarship programs to assist new and diverse delegations in building a successful Model UN program culminating in attending the NMUN-NY conference. We believe that our NMUN simulations benefit from participation of diverse populations. We define diversity in ethnic, gender, and international terms. We do not believe in quotas for any group.

NMUN•NY One-Time Grant Awards

Currently, scholarship funds are only available for NMUN•NY participants. Donors interested in creating scholarship opportunities for NMUN are invited to contact us.

Each year, eight one-time grants are offered in increments of $1,000 and $500. Half are awarded to U.S.
schools and the other half to schools from other countries. The criteria to be considered for scholarships include contribution to the ethnic and racial diversity of the conference, and financial need. One award is given in honor of a former NCCA Board President and NMUN Secretary-General, Brian John Hayden.

NMUN•NY Multi-Year Grant Awards

These grants, spread over three years, are given in increments of $5,000 in year one, $2,500 in year two, and fee waivers in year three. NMUN multi-year grants encourage development of Model UN programs in an international location and at historically diverse US colleges and universities.

Many delegations look to their own schools and communities for scholarships to assist them in raising the needed funds to attend NMUN conferences.
