NMUN Online Registration Process
Please read the information below carefully. Then, if you still have questions, contact info@nmun.org.
A. Information Needed for Application
1. Contact Information
A correct e-mail address for the faculty advisor and/or head delegate (also mailing address, phone number, and fax number).
2. Estimated Number of Delegates
An estimate of the number of student delegates that plan to attend the conference from your school (a range of no more than five, e.g. 6-11).
3. Registration Fee Payment Information
Applications without payment will not be considered. There is also a per delegate fee due later. More cost information is available on each conference page.
4. Payment Methods:
a. Visa or MasterCard, during the online registration process
(using our secure server). To prevent errors, make sure the expiration
date is at least a month after the conference date or later. Credit cards
for delegations outside the U.S. must be in the name of the
application contact/faculty advisor. Be careful to enter the card correctly.
b. Check (from the school or faculty advisor) or Money Order, made payable to NCCA and mailed to:
|
|
NCCA/NMUN
2945 44th Ave. S., Suite 600
Minneapolis, MN 55406
Plan ahead if requesting a school check. Universities may take six or more weeks to process a check request. Submitting the request is not enough. The actual check must be received by NCCA/NMUN before an application is considered. Please turn in requests early and follow-up on campus to make sure the check was actually sent.

B. Select 10 Countries You Are Interested in Representing
1. How to Choose 10 Countries to List on the Application.
Committee Interest: The matrix indicates the committee assignments of each country to be represented at the simulation. If it is important to sit on a particular committee because of your interest in the topics or regional issues, be certain to select countries that are members of that committee. No more than three of your choices can be members of the Security Council. Size: Compare the minimum and maximum number of delegates (far right column) of your countries of interest to the anticipated size of your delegation. NMUN•NY Only: you can view the complete list alphabetically or by size of assignment. Indicate if you are interested in more than one country assignment.
|
|
Only request countries whose minimum and maximum delegate numbers are in a range your program can support. For example, if you are bringing 8-12 delegates, you will not be assigned a country that can support 14-20 delegates.
To best accommodate the large number of schools attending, we recommend you request countries that will result in you bringing 2 delegates per committee assignment, where allowed.
Head delegates who do not sit on a committee can attend in addition to the maximum number listed on the matrix.
|
2. NMUN•NY ONLY: Consider Applying for One of the Additional Security Council Simulations
This simulation allows you to send 1-2 delegates to a separate Security Council simulation representing one of the Security Council Members. If assigned to the additional Security Council, the delegation would most likely need to prepare to be a different country in the additional Security Council than in the rest of the committees. This additional independent council is intended to give more delegates, if interested, the opportunity to sit on the Security Council.
For schools/individuals with experienced 1-2 person delegations, this may be an ideal assignment to request.
Delegates selected for these councils can attend in addition to the maximum number listed on the matrix for an assignment. |
C. Registration Confirmation
The person you list as the application contact will receive an email confirmation of your registration. Please print this confirmation for your records.
