CONFERENCE INFORMATION:

• NMUN•Europe 2012 Conference Program

For those who signed up for the trip to Brussels:

Meet at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday outside of the Lille Europe Station at the bus parking (next to the taxi line). It is on the Boulevard de Leeds, in front of the World Trade Center Lille (next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel). The 35€ cost will be collected there. A modest lunch is included at the European Parliament. Please bring spending money for snacks and souvenirs. Click here for a detailed schedule.

Delegations interested in a walking tour of Lille:

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday there will be a welcome desk at the Novotel Lille Gares hotel (see Lille city map; many delegations are staying here). Students from Sciences Po Lille will be available to give a one-hour (approx.) walking tour, including directions to the conference venue. The welcome desk will also be open Tuesday for delegations arriving early and tours may also be available then.

International forum to discuss and debate pressing global issues

Lille, located in the Nord-Pas de Calais region of France, very near Belgium, is connected via high-speed train ride with Paris (1 hour) as well as Eurostar service to London (90 minutes) and trains to Brussels (30 minutes). Lille was elected European Capital of Culture in 2004, and features the Belfry of Town Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, among a historic city center.

NMUN•Europe 2012 will be held in partnership with Sciences Po Lille and la Région Nord-Pas de Calais. Click here for more information on this region of France.
